20/08/2024 - 20:20 UTC-5 Position 69°40N - 101°10W - At anchor We changed anchorage early afternoon in anticipation of a low-pressure system and sustained northerly winds.
The good news is that the ice in Victoria Strait has fragmented well, now 2/10. So we can resume our route toward Greenland on Thursday after the strongest northerly winds pass.
A lovely walk ashore this afternoon with still lunar landscapes and tracks of polar bears and muskoxen! The arrival of fog brought us back on board...
