After Victoria, we pass through the Gulf Islands before reaching the city of Vancouver and its 2 million inhabitants. A change of scenery, as Libertaire is moored at False Creek at the foot of the skyscrapers in the city center. The location is ideal for exploring the city streets and its many parks and beaches. Even though the days are starting to shorten, the unusually sunny weather for the season gives beautiful autumn colors with the maples and arbutus turning red.
It is then time for Libertaire to head to Secret Cove, 30 miles to the north. Indeed, in a few days, we will leave our sailboat for the winter and return to France by plane. It has been four years since the entire crew has been back! The rain and the sudden drop in temperatures have marked the end of the vacation! See you next year!
