We are back!!
After spending the winter season in France, we joyfully reunite with Libertaire, which has been moored a few miles north of Vancouver. After a few days of getting back into the swing of things, we settle back on board and are ready to resume our traveler's routine, dictated by the weather, walks ashore, encounters, school on board, and boat maintenance... We begin our ascent of British Columbia under the first rays of spring sunshine, heading to Alaska this year!
We pass by Quadra Island, which we visited last year. We are warmly welcomed by Martine and Sylvain, and we leave with our bags full of orchard jams! Then we meet up with Mathieu and his family on their sailboat Shenasa Nui, whom we met in Polynesia, and with whom we enjoy the good weather to reconnect with BBQs and roasted marshmallows!
Tomorrow we will weigh anchor for Octopus Island, continuing our leisurely journey north!
