New semester, new hospital, so we have to move! After digging up our 4 anchors buried in the mud, we pass through the lock of the dam on April 20th. Heading to Lorient, taking advantage of our 10-day vacation to stop at the Scilly Isles.
A timid north wind allows us to loosen the sheets at the exit of the channel and rinse Libertaire with plenty of water while the helm holds steady.
.
After only a few miles, a customs boat boards us. 4 men in boots disembark and search every nook and cranny. After an hour on board, they leave empty-handed.... We can finally have dinner!
2 days later, the Scilly Isles appear on the horizon. First anchorage: Porth Cressa on the island of Saint Mary's.
Our long walks ashore whet our appetite, fortunately the hunt is fruitful: a fine yellow pollock for lunch! and the pub is not far for a nice cold Guinness!
Last stop at Saint Agnes before setting sail for Ouessant, time flies in paradise...
At dawn the next day, the sound of the surf is heard before we can even see the shores of the island. With our bellies full of homemade brioche, we go ashore, escorted by the dolphin of Lampaul Bay.
Off we go for a day of walking around the island with unusual encounters.
On the way to Audierne, the Raz de Sein, usually capricious, is favorable this time, allowing a fast route with a good NE 6 Beaufort. Pepette even takes the opportunity to work!
After a brief stop in Audierne, the wind, still from the North, accompanies us to Lorient in complete tranquility.
Arrival Friday evening in Lorient. After a few hours of scouting the next day, we temporarily anchor Libertaire in front of the submarine base, in Kernevel.
