And there we go, we passed north of the ITCZ yesterday evening after 7 hours of motoring in the afternoon.
. We've been in the NE trade winds regime since then, between 18 and 25 kts. A few hours of heavy rain early in the night, since then the sky has remained overcast with quite a few squalls and scattered showers.
Life aboard is a bit more sporty in these fast reaching conditions (we're at 80 degrees to the wind) but we've got about 2 days before the trade winds weaken.
We're making good progress, morale remains high for the whole crew.
At 13h UTC-8, our position 09 47n 138 49w. COG 330. SOG 8 kts. Wind 20 kts at 40.
