We're approaching the ITCZ, located less than 100 miles away this morning. The early night was marked by several squalls before the wind strengthened from the SE. It should gradually weaken before shifting E then NE once we've passed the ITCZ. We'll probably need to motor a bit toward the end of tomorrow night.
We're still making good progress, which is great for crew morale!
We're still eating bananas and passion fruit—fresh fruit is always nice.
At 10:18 UT-8 our position 4°55'N 139°21'W COG 15° SOG 7.5 kts. Wind SE 19 kts. Slight sea. Overcast sky.
