The weather and tides forced us into a nighttime departure on Saturday, October 27. Exiting the Saint Malo channel was quite rough with a N 6 Beaufort wind and particularly choppy seas due to the ebb current. This same current also helped us make good progress during these first hours of sailing. Dawn broke near the Sept Îles, and we enjoyed a good breakfast.
