We spend another ten days in Prince William Sound, taking advantage of the high tides to "beach" and change the propeller shaft seals. We then anchor for a few days in front of the port of Cordova, where we reunite with our Austrian friends we met last summer in Canada. The Indian summer is perfect for hikes in stunning landscapes and mushroom picking. We finally reach Seward, our wintering port. The small town of barely 3,000 inhabitants, located at the head of Resurrection Fjord, is touristy in summer but has a family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere in winter. We settle in and wait for the first snowflakes tonight!
