Another magnificent day under a sunny blue sky. Little wind, we are tacking under mainsail, staysail, and light genoa at low speed in variable wind between 4 and 8kts. We are saving diesel, we need to arrive at Point Hope before the north wind, 85nm to cover before tomorrow evening.
Passed the Arctic Circle this morning, we are sailing in the Chukchi Sea leaving a band of pack ice to port.
The situation is still blocked toward Prudhoe Bay on today’s ice map. To be continued...
