We took advantage of a good SW flow all night to make good progress north under mainsail, poled-out yankee, and staysail. This flow is linked to a large cold front descending from a depression far to the North. The wind should weaken soon as the front continues its westward journey, and we should have about twelve hours of motoring before picking up the SW flow from another approaching depression!
In the front, we're in fog, it's humid, the sea temperature has dropped to 16 degrees, we can feel we're gaining latitude!
The kids have been dressed since this morning, a big improvement!
980 miles left to Prince Rupert, the symbolic 1000-mile mark has been crossed!
