We should round Cape Bathurst early in the morning and then leave the Beaufort Sea to enter the Gulf of Amundsen. We are still reaching with superb weather. It’s hard to believe we are not at 70°N. The water temperature is impressive at 11.3°C. There is no more visible ice. And to think that 6 weeks ago everything was frozen. Striking the speed of melting. We have crossed multiple whales. All is well on board, we should continue progressing eastward for 36 hours.
